Region well-known for the wine and for the thermal sources, it is situated in the
western Slovakia. It confines in the west part with Czech republic and in the south
part with Hungary. The metropoli of the region is Trnava with 73.000 inhabitants.
The Trnava region has 7 provinces: Trnava, Dunajska Streda, Galanta, Hlohovec, Piestany,
Senica and Skalica.
The tourist attractions of the region: the historical and
cultural monuments of the town and its provinces, the Spa towns - Piestany and Smrdaky;
the Gabcikovo Water Work; the Manor House of Dolna Krupa with museum dedicated to L. V. Beethoven.
