Traffic regulations:

The road signs correspond to European norms. The speed limit in the cities and villages is 50 km/h, outside the cities and villages 90 km/h, the speed limit on highways is 130 km/h. The safety belts must also be used in cities. Drivers are strictly prohibited to drink spirits (including beer).

    Passports and visas

    It is needed to have a valid passport for duration of stay in Slovakia or for 2 months from date of expiration, if visa is required. The citizen of EU member countries and Switzerland can enter Slovakia just with a valid national ID card.

    The citizen of no EU countries have to contact the Embassy of Slovak Republic, which has the accreditation for the appropriate country.
